Bit of a risk....
Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Can the Mansfield booth be hired out, is it possible to book time in there?
I've currently primed the front end in 2k primer, but yet to flat it off, the quarters are planned to be BH'd epoxy mastic'd in the next few weeks, the rest will just need going over the existing paint with a block. I aim to get the car just needing masking and panel wiping before it goes near a booth.

The booth can be hired out but probably not to 'just anyone'. Around £20 per hour. It took me 5 hours but remember it a 3 stage pearl.
I'm sure you would be allowed to spray with supervision.

Interesting, I think we have to consider that Prelude owners aren't 'just anyone'.
I did have a booth lined up but it's fallen through, and the closest other one I can find to hire out is 2.5 hours away.
Can I keep this in mind and we'll see if something can be sorted out in about a months time?

Bigger and heavier car than the Civic though, that's all. 1.6 in a Vectra sounds underpowered even before an auto box gets stuck onto itvtecmec wrote:Than a 1.4 Civic auto? It's the ecotec engine and apparently does 37 to the gallon, and I do all motorway miles, regardless, it'll beat walking.

I would have thought so too, but looking at the specs on parkers, the vectra has 10bhp more and quite a bit more torque, allegedly 1 second quicker to 60 (a dizzying 13 secondswurlycorner wrote:Bigger and heavier car than the Civic though, that's all. 1.6 in a Vectra sounds underpowered even before an auto box gets stuck onto it But hey, that's just impressions without having driven or been in one with that engine (I've driven a 1.9td version and that went very well tbh)
