That's a good price.

I was with Sky, 25 years, 7 years NCB, Type-S, London and it was £1100 to renew.

I'm trying to insure my mums, the insurance company only recognises the SiR VTEC but not the Type-S but won't insure it under the SiR because it is a 2162cc and the V5 has 2195cc down for the engine capacity.

Ho Lee Chit! A grand to insure a Type-S?! ..damn! For comparison (albeit an apples to oranges comparison), my 4th Si VTEC is £310 to insure fully comp thru Chaucer Direct.
