Got some conti winter contact tyres-need some snow or slush

Anyone else tried these tyres?
Just picked up a set of 4 continental winter contacts 205/55/16's - just had them fitted at local garage.
Seem to be a very soft compound - any reason why i cant run them all year round as it rains most of the time anyway?
Got them off gumtree - woman selling them said they had done less than 1000 miles and garage confirm all was good with them and they had 8mm tread with no wear at all that they could see - the tyres still have the barcode labels on the inner sidewall.
Paid £95 for the 4 of them - should i be embarrased

It snows 2 weeks of the year maybe more but iv never had issues with summer tyres in snow. Drive to the conditions.

Also i work outside everyday. Its Sunny/dry 80% of the time. The rest its wet. Iv used my marquee to stop rain on the paintwork about 10 times over the whole year.

But at £95 of for the tyres its a bargain.

Thats a steal as they are more than 95 quid for 1 tyre. I have these tyres on my spare set of alloys and run them in the winter. The grip level was instantly noticeable when on snow or slush. Drove down to quickfit in my Motegi alloys with bridgestone potenza tyres & back up on spare alloys with the winter contacts on. The street was nasty with snow/ice etc but drove round the estate no problem which was not the case on the way out!

Good choice :D

Cheers guys - i would never have considered getting winter tyres but it seemed to be a good buy.
They seem really grippy from cold and are very quite and comfortable to run - ive not really pushed them as they have a lower speed rating of H.
Here is a pic of them on the car-

From the back-bad photo sorry - cant look at it too long as it hurts my eyes

The only drawback i can see so far is that they do have a more of a flexible sidewall but i can live with that for the time being.
