Summat like this?

1406kg. So depends on the weight of the trailer. Looks like it'll be very close if not over though?

I looked into towing as an option for shifting my lot around. Long story short, I found I'd spend a good few hundred acquiring my licence and then I'd still need a tow car and trailer. The problem with the tow car is that it's weight is really important as you shouldn't have trailer loads exceeding the weight of the tow vehicle. After looking at a few options, the most practical for my needs was a 2.5 turbo diesel Landrover Discovery, you can get the old ones for about a grand in alright condition and they're good for towing. Then a decent railer would also be several hundred quid, remember it needs to be a braked trailer otherwise things could get interesting
So, the list was to get my licence, get a hench Landrover and buy a suitable trailer. I reckoned it'd set me back £2,000 or so. Would be a decent investment though
So long as this doesn't happen:

Try one of the modified insurance specialists, such as Prestige, Chris Knot, Greenlight.
If you are of a decent age, claim free and have NCB on another vehicle, they should be able to look to "mirror" your main NCB onto your Polo. They are also more likely to insure your Polo in the first place as you will struggle with most Insurers due to the engine swap.

I'm looking at around £1200-£1400 and I don't think that's bad If I was using it daily BUT I'm not its probably going to be used on the road for around 1000-2000miles max that a fair cost per mile lol
